Products
Most soils contain “tied up” nutrients that need to be made accessible to plants in order to optimize both growth and yield. Our products are a group of humic acid-based soil amendments designed to reduce the effect of the environmental stresses of water, temperature and soil conditions on crops.
Humic Acid
Humic acid is a natural soil conditioner that acts as an organic chelator and microbial stimulator. It has a unique carbon matrix which includes a high concentration of trace minerals and organic acids. Humic acid enhances the plant’s ability to take in essential nutrients and improves soil structure. Proven Humic Acid Benefits:
- Increases soil carbon
- Improves plant health
- Improves germination and viability of seeds
- Chelates macro and micro nutrients to increase availability to the plant for a longer period of time
- Increases cation exchange capacity (CEC)
- Improves soil structure for better aeration and water movement
- Stimulates beneficial microorganisms, which can improve long-term soil pH
- Especially effective on sandy soils
Humic DG
A homogeneous dispersing granule that combines pure, dry humate and humic acid precursor, Humic DG provides all of the proven benefits of humic and fulvic acids in an easy-to-use product.
For a quick introduction, watch the video below.
We combined pure, dry humate with our patented dispersing granule (DG) process to create a spherical granule that contains thousands of micro sized humate particles.
Within a few minutes after watering, these micro sized Humic DG particles dissolve into the soil, immediately going to work to improve nutrient efficiency and soil conditions.
Humic DG is biological, dispersible, spreadable and blendable.
Biological
Humic DG contains 4 biologically active components; humic acid precursor, fulvic acid, humic acid and humin.
These components range from very soluble to completely insoluble in soil media, working together to provide the soil with a broad range of biological benefits, from plant available fulvic acids to the insoluble, high nutrient holding capacity of humin.

Dispersible
The “magic” in Humic DG and Black Gypsum DG is the dispersing granule (DG) technology, which serves to enhance humate distribution. Upon contact with water, each DG granule disperses into thousands of micro particles, which move directly into the root zone and begin working to improve the health and quality of your turf, crop or plant.
Spreadable
Humic DG’s uniform, spherical granules allow for ease of spreading through all standard application equipment. While competitive humic acid products are non-uniform and dusty, Humic DG’s granules are uniform, spherical and dust-free.
- Clean, uniform and dust free granules are easy to apply as a straight product or as part of a fertilizer blend.
- Humic DG contains a high concentration of organic carbon sources in a self-incorporating form.
- Engineered granules are highly uniform in size, with a UI of 40+.
- Compared to liquid humates, Humic DG provides more organic carbon, resulting in a more efficient application, saving time and money.
- A 40 lb/acre rate of Humic DG provides 20x more organic carbon (humic substances) than a typical liquid humate at 2 gal/acre.
Humic DG and air drill seeders – a perfect match!
Air drill seeder technology is the easiest, most efficient and cost effective method for incorporating humates at the time of seeding. Humic DG’s combination of superior handling characteristics with Dispersing Granule (DG) Technology make it the ideal humic acid delivery method for your crops. Blendable
Humic DG’s granules are unique among dry humate products in their ability to be blended with most fertilizer components, including urea.
- 240 SGN (2.4 mm) sizing closely matches sizing of most fertilizer components.
- Ultra dry granules contain only 7-9% moisture, allowing for a dry, free flowing product and enhancing stability of the blend.
- Humic DG granules are engineered to resist attrition in handling and blending. With an RTA of 90%, Humic DG is superior to mined humates, and results in dust-free, free-flowing blends.

Humic Blending Best Use Practices and FAQs
Humic DG – Blender Agreement and Guidelines
While other products are dusty, messy, non-uniform and difficult to handle, Humic DG’s highly engineered granules are clean, dust-free and very easy to handle. With a low moisture content and a resistance to breakage during handling, Humic DG is the most efficient way to deliver to your plants the humic acid they need.
Black Gypsum DG
Featuring the same dual carbon sources that make Humic DG unique, Black Gypsum DG is a unique bio-amendment that combines natural gypsum and humic substances in one, homogenous prill.
Containing a combination of gypsum, humate and humic acid precursor, Black Gypsum DG delivers calcium, sulfur and humate (a rich source of carbon) directly to the soil utilizing our dispersing granule (DG) technology.
The gypsum found in Black Gypsum DG is naturally chelated, supplying calcium without changing soil pH, and adding sulfur where needed. Acting as a soil conditioner, gypsum loosens hard packed soils and enhances the flushing of harmful salts and excess sodium.
Like Humic DG, Black Gypsum DG contains dual carbon sources: humic acid precursor (plant based carbon) and humate (bio-organic based carbon). Humic acid precursor is transformed into humic and fulvic acids, helping to chelate nutrients in the soil. Humates works to prolong humic acid soil activity and to help stimulate soil microbes and biologic activity within the plant. Humates also act as a chelating agent for micronutrients, enhancing the utilization and efficiency of applied and existing nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus.
Upon contact with water, DG technology breaks down each Black Gypsum DG granule into thousands of micro particles. These micro particles self-incorporate into the soil, moving gypsum and humic acid directly into the plant root zone and providing immediate benefits to both the soil and plant.
Black Gypsum DG provides the following benefits:
- Increases calcium and sulfur without changing soil pH
- Enhances efficiency of applied and existing nutrients
- Increases soil CEC and tilth
- Reduces soil salinity
- Reduces thatch and stalk residue
Why Black Gypsum DG Over Other Types of Standard Gypsum?
Our gypsum source is calcium sulfate di-hydrate (CaSO4·2H2O), which, with two extra water molecules, is more water soluble than the anhydrite form (CaSO4). These extra molecules make calcium and sulfur more quickly available to the plant – as soon as Black Gypsum DG enters the soil solution.
While a plant receiving the anhydrite form of calcium would be forced to wait days or weeks to take advantage of the applied nutrients, a plant receiving a Black Gypsum DG application begins to utilize the nutrients in hours, thanks to the di-hydrate calcium and our dispersing granule (DG) technology.
Black Gypsum DG delivers 21% humic acid delivered in every application. This humate is quick acting, and provides further chelation of applied and existing nutrients, increasing their availability to the plant.
